This looks to be a difference in .NET frameworks. If you are targeting .NET Framework 3.5, the above code won't work with v1 or v2.
The SDK is (basically) calling Directory.GetFiles(Directory, SearchPattern, SearchOption). In your case, this becomes Directory.GetFiles(directoryPath, ".", SearchOption.AllDirectories). If you make this call from an app that targets 3.5, the call returns 0 items. However, if you target 4.5, this call will return the files in the target directory.
So the issue is that the SDK is making the Directory.GetFiles call and in 3.5 finds no files to upload. Hence, no progress events are fired. If you modify the SearchPattern to "*", the code should work in both 3.5 and 4.5 apps.

I'm targeting .NET Framework 4.5.
I've changed SearchPattern to "*", but still have the issue. Nevertheless, directory has uploaded successfully.
