Hello @Rast1234 . Can you please provide a jsfiddle to explain the problem?
from audero-unified-placeholders.
Hi, I saw this issue too, so I forked and created the following fix. I
would be happy to help with this issue if you like.

@AurelioDeRosa I can't get your plugin working in JsFiddle, sorry.
@ericrglass Thank you for the solution, but I've already moved to hand-written placeholders ;)

@ericrglass I'd like to fix the issue and to merge your pull request. However, I'd like to see the error before. Would you mind to create a demo of the issue?

I will try to have an example tomorrow of the issue.

I was finally able to put together an example of the issue and the fix. I
am running Windows 8 with IE 10, so I have to emulate IE 8 with the
developer tools and could not get any of the online playgrounds working,
like jsfiddle or JS Bin. I decided to place the examples in my fork on
github in the demo folder, so give them a try and let me know what you
think. Just to let you know I have added another fix this week, a user
found that if they paste into an input field with the placeholder polyfill
using the pop-up context menu option Paste that it did not remove the
placeholder text. I added to the keydown event handler the paste event to
fix this issue.

Hello @ericrglass and sorry for the late answer.
@Rast1234 asserted that the issue is present in any version of IE, so I started to test your demo on IE8-10. I've to say that in none of these browsers I'm able to see any issue. What I see is:
Test Input value before initializing auderoUnifiedPlaceholders
Initial value for test input
Test Input value after initializing auderoUnifiedPlaceholders
Initial value for test input
that, in my opinion, is the expected behavior. Under no circumstances the placeholder value should overwrite a value set in the markup. Am I missing something?
About the second issue you pointed out, I'm unable to reproduce it. I can paste whatever I wanted in the textbox and as soon as it is pasted, the text of the placeholder disappears. Anyway, if you want, please open another issue and I'd be more than happy to discuss it further.
