Mass Add Relation list differs from list available adding relationship directly in items about atrocore HOT 4 OPEN

Hi, I think it could have to do with catalogs.
If a product is added to a catalog, you can use for it only categories from category trees, which are also assigned to this catalog.
Mass update ignores assignment to a catalog.

It is related to catalogs, yes, but the behaviour is not right. We started with 3 catalogs following our import but realised that we could not move products between catalogs easily. So all products in the unused catalog we moved into our main one and deleted the unused catalogs and channels.

The products we are looking at are all now in the same catalogue as the categories so, if the functionality is right when adding linking a category to a product we should see the full list of categories displayed, but that is not the case.

It also appears the mass update list does not ignore the catalog, it returns a list of categories with no catalog linked. To resolve issue 1, I linked the categories under the tree root to the catalog and that has now added them to the product detail category list. However, when trying to do mass update now, the category list is empty. So it appears that the mass update list is generated with catalog is null and the product detail list, category needs to be set. This means that it is not possible to use both mass update and add category link at the same time.

Having added the links to subcategories we now have the issue that they cannot be unlinked without being deleted. I ended up having to clean this up directly in the database to remove the links.

Sounds complicated, please give us access (via official email) to your system to investigate it more deeply, and examples, would also be useful, like "for product X expect to be able to assign category Y" etc.
