When there are no results, it is not an error, it is a strict filter. 😉 Running operations on an empty sequence is cheap, so I would not worry about performance. Checking for empty sequence in the end of operations chain is any().

It turns out that an error is thrown when you expect that a single result ->single() is given. I've modified it to ->singleOrDefault() and now a null value is returned, just what I needed :) Thanks for your response!
