i'd like to reduce the scope of this issue to only ios and android for the minute since the mapView component in https://docs.expo.io/versions/v36.0.0/sdk/map-view/ only supports those two platforms. i tried the suggested experimental web support described at the bottom of the provided link but it didn't worked out for me.
i'd therefore suggest to focus on android and ios in this issue and create a follow-up issue for fixing the web-mobile client.
