Ok, missed the port nr in the description which is 49002. But would there be any chance to have ForeFlight detect this service via internet?

Unfortunately, IP detection through NAT devices (e.g. routers or firewalls) is impossible. You might be able to configure the app to work over the internet by using port forwarding, but it's not something I've tried out.
