There is a complete documentation in https://github.com/galaxyproject/ansible-galaxy-tools/blob/master/files/tool_list.yaml.sample. I put a resume of it in the end of the README.md.
We can also put link to the complete doc in the README.md. What do you think?

@fabiorjvieira I don't know. Show me what you've done, I will tell you.

-1 on repeating the information, a link will suffice.
+1 on mentioning ways to generate the yml.

The info It is just a shortcut, however the real problem is if afgane update the procedure. This is a risk to the shortcut info be invalidated. I will remove the info and only.
For the ways to auto-generate the tool list, please see my last comment in #44.

@fabiorjvieira @mvdbeek As I said in #44 the problem is not only how to generate the tool list, but then where to put it in the playbook. Then, although I must say that I could do it, I bet that in one month, it will take me again 10 min to figure out what is going on, and in one year for sure it will take me 10 hours.
By the way, as I speak now, the tools are still installing w/o menus. Frustrating.

The fix for the menu stuff is in the pull request #44.
Please, see my last comment in #44 about the tool list stuff and tell me if it is ok for you.

What is the status on this?
What documentation do we have currently?

So we currently don't have any documentation, but the file is to be put in extra-files (by convention, it could be anywhere), and then you would reference it by setting the galaxy_tools_tool_list variable to that file (see this ). I am adding this to issue #48 and I will close this.
