You're right that's indeed a bug in https://github.com/arl/gitstatus.
Let me fix it upstream and update gitmux afterwards, I'll let you know here when it's done!

@arl, hello again! Similar problem. Now the conflict is counted as staged. Instead I expect 11 staged, 1 conflicting and 1 untracked.
