I wanted to check if anyone here in the project ran a performance comparison against Neo4J to see how it compares.
@grillorafael, not even close to the performance that neo4j has! Here, instead of a graph data model, the usual relational many-to-many is used. A lot of joynes under the hood with a catastrophic drop in performance!
As @jrgemignani honestly said, they don't even try to think about performance until they write the functionality. The grossest mistake in the design is to postpone the implementation of non-functional requirements for later. Neo4j was originally designed for maximum performance with the graph model of data!
