Abe Omaits's Projects

ecommercebackend icon ecommercebackend

This project was created for an e-Commerce company to be able to track their inventory using a SQL database. This project allowed me to practice properly querying a SQL database using Sequelize.

employee-tracker icon employee-tracker

Back-end application allowing users to query a SQL employee database. This project was created to practice setting up a node server and query a SQL database using MySQL.

express.js-note-taker icon express.js-note-taker

Note-taker which allows a user to add and delete notes for future reference. This was an early full-stack project for the UT Austin bootcamp which allowed me to practice API and HTML routing. (Not currently deployed.)

javascriptcodequiz icon javascriptcodequiz

This project gave me the opportunity to apply JavaScript's setInterval method and to dynamically render components from a single script.

jump-it-nyc icon jump-it-nyc

JumpIt NYC! Nom the pizza, avoid the rats! Side-scroller created with Javascript and a SQL leaderboard

learning-blog icon learning-blog

A blog I can use to jot down thoughts as I proceed through bootcamp

learning-java icon learning-java

A repository for me to practice initial Java coding and learn the language

portfolio-1 icon portfolio-1

First-version portfolio highlighting my group projects during the UT Austin Full-Stack Bootcamp. This was a great early exercise in learning and practicing HTML and CSS.

portfolio-v2 icon portfolio-v2

An updated portfolio containing more recent projects and highlighting new technologies. I ultimately decided to switch to a V3 that I could get up and running faster, but I reinforced some CSS while starting on this.

portfolio-v3 icon portfolio-v3

I used a Free Code Camp tutorial (with some adjustments) to get this SvelteKit & TailwindCSS Portfolio up and running. I got it deployed with Vercel and bought a custom domain for the portfolio.

readme_generator icon readme_generator

Program dynamically creates a README.md based on user prompt responses in the terminal interface. A part of my UT Austin full-stack coding bootcamp studies, this project allowed me to practice dynamic input.
