when you issue a 'cd' command SharPyShell is not sending the command to the stdin of the cmd.exe process but it will try to act as a cmd on the client side in the python Cmd module. As you can see here (https://github.com/antonioCoco/SharPyShell/blob/master/core/SharPyShellPrompt.py#L112) the cd command is considered as a separate command and it's not send to the default Cmd module that communicate with the cmd.exe process. What i'm going to change in next release is the main behavior of the interaction with the Cmd terminal and will solve this issue and many more (i.e changing directory without drive name "cd \Windows\System32").
As a temporary workaround you can cd in that directory with the absoulte path, so "c:\users\public\documents\foo poo"

from sharpyshell.
