Option to download one episode at a time about antennapod HOT 5 CLOSED

i would still prefer to be able to queue up several downloads, instead of having it fail on me after 15 minutes if i start downloading more than 3 episodes at once

Do you have any issues with the background (automatic) downloading? You can check for errors in the Downloads section and there is a button to show the download logs

I actually don't use automatic downloads as my internet connection is very unstable.

This feature request is related to manually downloading multiple episodes of a podcast.

My personal view is that I don't think this is worth a new setting for. (revised, we used to have the number of parallel download in the preferences, but in this PR it was removed in favor of Android's defaults #6420)

My guess is that if your internet is unstable, downloading a single episode at a time will also be error prone.

Just brainstorming here, if you can tweak the timeout period of your network connection from phone to wifi, or wifi to internet model, this will go a long way to help with stability of your connection.

I am unable to reproduce the error.

Here's what happens - If I start downloading 5 episodes, Episode 1 downloads to 16%, Episode 2 to 40%, Episode 3 to 56% and so on, then they all end up failing.

Everything works fine when I download a single episode, it's super slow but it completes the download.

We used to have the number of parallel download in the preferences, but in this PR it was removed in favor of Android's defaults #6420

If this is the default Android behaviour then there's no need to change it, closing the issue.
