This behavior was observed using the xmlquery package.

After a few hours of spelunking, it appears that the issue may be in different NodeNavigator implementations used between xmlquery and the test suite of ```xmlpath``.

@MrWinstead , Thanks for report it. It looks similar to issue #4. You need implement NodeNavigator interface or using the xmlquery package.

expr, _ := xpath.Compile("/message/body/@ctime")
val := expr.Evaluate(xmlquery.CreateXPathNavigator(doc))
switch typ := val.(type) {
case *xpath.NodeIterator:
	for typ.MoveNext() {
		fmt.Println(typ.Current().Value())

}

@MrWinstead, Sorry i'm late, I am trying solving this problem, can you checkout this branch xpath_#17 of xmlquery and antchfx/xmlquery#3.
