Ansible 2.6 is available now via dev branch->
pip install git+https://github.com/ansible/ansible.git@devel

Explanation for Ansible 2.6:
unfortunately due to Amazon changing the API for AWS we are getting more consistent performance for using Ansible 2.6. The aws_caller_facts is/was optional, but we already had to recommend Ansible 2.6 for other reasons, so we went ahead and started using the new modules (as a side note: the developer for AWS ec2 modules @ryansb recommended this choice as well)
