@sbelak thanks for reporting! I've updated Blazer to work without a user model if you set Blazer.user_class = nil in an initializer. Will attempt to do this automatically.

If i (as a non ruby person) follow the docs, i ran into the same error.
how can i add a mastermind/user to blaze?

I solved by using the latest version from master (incorporating ankane's patch above) and
adding Blazer.user_class = nil to config/environments/production.rb (and development.rb)
