Definitely. We do have to persist that queue though, maybe through a database? I'll look into it.

Yeah, basically a "queue" table with the IDs of entries on which we need to push status changes.

I'll be moving the "queue" idea to a new issue. This one will be reserved for tracking progress on an immediate fix. The application shouldn't crash when there are connectivity issues. This looks very bad.
There are two things that the application should be doing right now:
- Detect global connection state and disable activity to a "read-only" state if there is no connection.
- If there is a connection, but there are issues with the API site, display an error message using the Crouton library so the user knows there was an error state.
