This seems to be caused by the combination of '-webkit-transform' used in the animation and '-webkit-mask-image' used on the demo page. If you don't use '-webkit-mask-image' style on your animated elements, everything works fine.

Perhaps the demo should be reworked to not use -webkit-mask-image then? And an incompatibility note added somewhere in the documentation?

@MarcusJT since this is a browser issue and not a problem with the project itself, I think it would be best left alone. Bug like this are usually fixed quite quickly in Chrome, too. If I start tracking incompatibility bugs in browsers, I'm going to find myself with a lot less free time!
