Hi Edwin,
Seems like a problem upstream:
curl -H 'Authorization: Bearer:<redacted>' 'http://api.adsabs.harvard.edu/v1/search/query?q=star&fl=bibcode,id,bibstem'
{"responseHeader":{"status":0,"QTime":7,"params":{"q":"star","fl":"bibcode,id,bibstem","wt":"json"}},"response":{"numFound":939942,"start":0,"docs":[{"id":"1732456","bibcode":"2008PhDT.......169R"},{"id":"10501105","bibcode":"2013arXiv1305.3460H"},{"id":"1907896","bibcode":"2011MNRAS.413.2345H"},{"id":"751322","bibcode":"1987PAICz..69..141K"},{"id":"756762","bibcode":"1987sbge.proc..355F"},{"id":"825964","bibcode":"1989RMxAA..18..125C"},{"id":"874385","bibcode":"1991ASPC...13...73M"},{"id":"975288","bibcode":"1993sfgi.conf..324C"},{"id":"1927928","bibcode":"2012A&A...546A..53L"},{"id":"909502","bibcode":"1992AJ....104.1482E"}]}}

bibstem
is not a stored field in Solr, so I don't think this attribute has ever not been None
.
from ads.
Oh! Then we should remove bibstem
from the client, right?

Yep.

Or could try to smart extract it from the bibcode
, but I guess this is prone to issues. But I can see a need for accessing the bibstem
.

Out of scope for this ticket, and I'm leaning towards out of scope for the client, but we can discuss that in a separate ticket.
