Editing existing content about chronozoom HOT 17 OPEN

I can login (username=mrdale) but I don’t see anything that would indicate that I can edit either of A 30 Year History of Aids or AIDS Memorial Quilt (which is actually contained in A 30 Year History of Aids
There were no public authoring tools when these timelines were authored (summer 2012). It happened by magic at one of the development sites.

We can associate the timeline with you but given that this was curated content and created without the authoring tools, I'm not sure how this will work. We will look into it and figure it out though. Do you know what you want to update specifically?

1. Go to current AIDS timeline at URL http://www.chronozoom.com/chronozoomer#/t39e69fbe-6857-42cd-bd77-e12624ced37b/t3220d102-53dd-4c0e-9349-abaa38dfdd66
2. Click the copy timeline icon
3. Create/login new standard ChronoZoom account
4. Create a new a collection, click the paste timeline icon
5. Edit/add new exhibits as needed.
6. For existing exhibits to make thumbnails appear, just click edit on the exhibit, make no changes and click save. This forces the thumbnail system to regenerate.
7. When all changes finished, the new updated timeline can be copy pasted onto the URL location in step 1.

alterm4nn will reply with instructions on what you need to do if you want to add new content since this content is housed in our system.

@mrdale1958 it's easy - if you have any content that you cannot publish yourself for some reason. For example, if you don't want to use your own onedrive to host images.

Eugene will update the link on the featured section of the homepage.
To make thumbnails render in your exhibits, edit each exhibit then click update.

Optional:
You can apply a custom background image to your collection (replacing the default cosmos/stars image). Click the pencil icon in the lower left corner.
You can also apply a background image to each timeline if desired. There is a background URL field when editing each timeline.

One last question, is there any way we can have the new updated content
posted using the old URL? The reason I ask is because we have printed
postcards that utilize the old URL, and we cannot change the link shortener
which points there. That would help us out greatly!

I cannot remove old timeline and paste new with all content because all id's will change and your link wouldn't work.
