I'd find it useful for them to be ordered by "must watch-ness". I'm pretty new to CSS, so I'm not sure which ones are the most important. There's quite a lot of video there to cover, so if any of them are particularly relevant, I'd like to get through them first. Right now I'm basically picking them randomly based on how much time I have and the video's duration (thanks for adding that!).

@lbain I like that idea. It's probably the best option even if the order of importance is still opinionated.

I've been rethinking this...

In order of "must-watch-ness" has been pretty much how I've been going but still wonder if there is a benefit of chronological order. Feedback is welcome.

Why not add subcategories like "Architecture", "Performance", "Secrets", "UI / UX" and than sort them by date. This way we would provide a better guideline for beginners.

@marcobiedermann that's an interesting idea. Sub-cats within each year?

Isn't it better to use the type of videos (Architecture, Performance etc.) as a main category and years as a sub-categories.

@AllThingsSmitty No, the other way around like @KleoPetroff mentioned

Architecture

  • Video by date
  • Video by date
  • Video by date

Performance

  • Video by date
  • Video by date
