Upgrade question about gfortran-mlion HOT 4 CLOSED

Good questions. I did of course have a go myself (with GCC 4.7.2), but didn't have the time to get it fully functional. I'll see if I can find the code and will make a fork if I do.

I've just committed the GCC-4.7.2 modifications into a new branch.

If you want to have a go at making this work, please consider making a fork and issuing a Pull Request if you have any joy.

Having just skimmed through the commit diff, I can see some minor changes I'd make now (I'll commit them in a minute).

The additional work that was needed regards gfortran's extra dependencies. Not sure exactly when they were introduced, but I was hoping to compile GCC 4.7.2 with all its prerequisites. It looks like I got around to building PPL and CLOOG, but I think there was at least one other dependency that I didn't get around to accommodating in the build scripts. Probably MPC, judging by this google result.
