Hmm, this doesn't repro for me. Can you point to a specific repo where this happens?

I'm guessing it's because git has the concept of both a committer and an author. (See here and search for "difference is between author and committer".)

The repo is private.

I had expected the plugin to provide the same line level output as the official CLI git blame. Github's blame view agrees with the CLI git blame.

I'll close the issue since you can't reproduce it. Cheers and thank you for looking at it šŸ˜„

If my guess was correct, it might be nice to have a toggle in the UI that allows one to switch between showing the committer and showing the author.
