Have you pinned down the source of the problem? Is it in the signal generator code, or in the code that sends sound to audio?

I'm sorry, I have not pinned down the source of the problem. I have spent a good few hours, and the generating code looks good. But the result is unclean, even with todays master.

I also am experiencing this with an iPhone 5 (ios 7) and a 4S (ios 7.1). It is almost like a faint buzz artifact that is steady and in both channels. The same tones (frequencies) generated on other core audio demos work fine, so I know it is not hardware or headphone related. This occurs with any frequency.

I can confirm that I am seeing the same thing on a 4S

Following up now more than a year later, issue is still there. And I don't understand why. Does anyone have any more insight into this? Xcode 6.3b2 iOS 8.3b2 and iPhone 5S / iPad Air 2
