scss not supported about hugo-book HOT 4 CLOSED

Hi!

In order to use SCSS pipeline you need to install extended version of Hugo binary, with sass built-in

from hugo-book.

It's really nice them but couldn't get this to work out of the box. Would you be able to guide us how to enable base hugo build with extensions so the theme would work? TIA

I hope this will help you:

• Start with getting extended version of hugo
  If you install via brew you will get extended version, otherwise grab release here.
  Make sure to grab extended release e.g hugo_extended_0.52_platform.tar.gz

• Clone hugo-book repository and navigate to hugo-book/exampleSite
  this is what I use during development and also what themes.gohugo.io displays.
  Run hugo server --themesDir ../.. and navigate to 0.0.0.0:1313

• Now you have working website so you can check around exampleSite to see how it's built
