👋 Hi, I am Shih-Yu, Lai. I am pursuing my studies at National Cheng Kung University, actively engaging in multiple research projects in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Human-Computer Interaction. Specifically, I focus on their applications in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Digital Fabrication, and Urban Computing. My primary research goal and interest lie in exploring the intersection of computer graphics, human-computer interaction, and multimedia within the field of Design Engineering. I am "An Engineer Assisting Designers in Realizing Their Visions."

🧑‍🎨 My practical experience in computer science, robotics, and various design domains allows me to truly understand the needs of users in the design industry, enabling me to develop highly applicable information systems and tools. These research areas enable me to draw knowledge and techniques from various fields, fostering a holistic and innovative approach to interdisciplinary problem-solving.

💻 I am a Python enthusiast who is also keen to learn other technical skills. I've had the opportunity to serve as a data engineer and HCI designer in various technical roles, which has provided me with a strong familiarity with user services and design tools developing. Aside from that, I also possess moderate data sciences/frontend/CAD skills including tools like C++, Matlab, OpenGL, Unity 3D, ROS/ROS2, Fushion360, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, and such.

This is a crowd forcasting project for Tourism Bureau of Tainan City Government, Taiwan. Based on mobile signaling, tickets, and open data, LSTM and GRU models were utilized to estimate people's flow in tourist attractions in Tainan City for traffic control or crowd flow measures.
