I also prefer tabs, it's simply easier to hit a tab once than a space two or four times.

The file size argument is negligible because you should be minifying your JS anyway.

At any rate this seems like something in there specifically for airbnb because that’s just the way they like their codebase. We could also start an argument about nested vs. non-nested curly braces, but that would be equally futile.

The important part is that the codebase is consistent, whether that's with tabs, soft-tabs, or spaces. We went with soft-tabs set to 2-spaces.
