Found the root cause. The Android platform handles StreamingAssets differently, which fails the apps initialization. Applying a fix...

So I haven't found any error codes/logs about this and was unable to hook up a debugger to a running Android build because I'm running into Unity Editor specific problems that seem to be affecting other devs. But basically, it seems we can't access StreamingAssets through conventional means. Fixed in commit 85d8ff1
Updated the v2.5.0 release with the appropriate APK.
Also submitted the new build to Google for review.
Google Play Store version will be fixed once Google finishes review/certification.
