Proposal to extend the coverage of T-Chinese to Japanese Jinmeiyō kanji (人名用漢字) about source-han-sans HOT 3 CLOSED

The first update may fill this need by additionally deploying the OTFs that make up the OTCs as separate font resources. In other words, instead of having a single set of multilingual OTFs whose default language is Japanese, there will be multiple sets of multilingual OTFs, each with its own default language. Of course, all of these multilingual OTFs will include all 65,535 glyphs, and will support the same set of code points, though the default glyphs will vary by language.

This is arguably better than cherry-picking glyphs to be added to each region-specific subset. Depending on who is asked, and the intended purpose, the results can vary widely. This effectively means that the issue is subjective.
