We don't really have a good method of determining this in Javascript right now. I thought we might be able to intercept the unmarshalling operation via the Reviver available to JSON.parse() but after a quick test I found that the reviver only transforms the result after the object has been created, not during.

There are some implementations (which don't have native JSON parsing support) which do allow you to fail on duplicate keys (Jackson is one example). I'm not sure how we would implement similar functionality in Javascript without adding unneeded complexity since in order to do this we would either need to implement a custom JSON parser (this could be done by extending one of the JSON polyfills) or investigate a string prior to it being parsed into an Object.

Closing for now unless ADL makes requests. If I recall, issue was brought up and implicit and tests not needed.
