when i download the cats plugin (from here https://github.com/michaeldegroot/cats-blender-plugin) its automatically downloaded with winrar, i can't really make it into a zip bc with every zip i dl its just automatically a winrar file

Noo, don't delete appdata o.o delete only what is inside of the addons folder
If you really need to extract the zip, keep it all in a folder and paste that folder over into the addons folder

i give up rip, for another time, i'll probably just end up redownloading blender and cats and see if it fixes it.
