Orchid is a web app designed to provide users with an analysis of their presence in outside spaces depending on weather conditions. It has been proven that spending time outdoors brings positive health benefits. Consequently, understanding and allowing people to make the most of their outdoor spaces can potentially contribute to improving their health and wellbeing. Furthermore, users of Orchid would not be solely limited to households but will also be able to analyse restaurants, bars and other venues to understand the behaviour of customers and when to offer outdoor spaces - which could result in financial profit for businesses.
