Is there any need to get a key or something, similar to https://github.com/codetheweb/tuyapi ?
It appears to be listening on port 6668, so I'm wondering if something has changed in the latest firmware.

Are you sure this is the same device? it's quite old now.
It expects being to able to telnet on port 23
from plugctl.
